Aug. 10, 1956, ch. 1041, § 53 , 70A Stat 641 Section 177, act June 25, 1906, ch. 3540 , 34 Stat. 463 , related to contracts for construction of fortifications and other works of defense. Section 178, act Apr. 11, 1898 , No. 21, 30 Stat. 737 , provided for erection of forts in emergency. See sections 4776 and 9776 of Title 10, Armed Forces. Section 179, act June 30, 1921, ch. 33, § 1 , 42 Stat. 81 , related to chargeability of appropriations with respect to transportation cost incident to construction and maintenance of seacoast fortifications.
