That section 5 of the Act entitled “An Act to fix the salaries of officers and members of the Metropolitan police force, the United States park police, and the fire department of the District of Columbia,” approved May 27, 1924 (United States Statutes at Large, volume 43, page 175), is hereby amended by striking out said section and substituting therefor the following: “Hereafter, the salaries of members of the United States park police force shall be the same as the salaries of the officers and members of the Metropolitan police force of the District of Columbia in similar or corresponding grades,“ Approved, April 13, 1928.
