Chap. XLV.— An Act *to alter the times of holding the district court, in the district of Missouri.*(*a*)(*a*)The acts relating to the district court of Missouri, are: An act to provide for the duo execution of the laws of the United States, within the state of Missouri, and for the establishment of a district court therein, March 16, 1822, ch. 12, sec. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. An act to alter the time of holding the district court in the district of Missouri, April 29, 1824, ch. 45. An act supplementary to the act entitled “An act to amend the judicial system of the United States,” March 3, 1837, ch. 34.
An act to amend the act of the third of March, 1837, entitled “An act supplementary to the act entitled ‘An act to amend the judicial system of the United States, and for other purposes,’” March 3, 1839, ch. 81. April 29, 1824. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* ThatThe district court for Missouri, to be held on the first Monday in March and September yearly. the district court, for the district of Missouri, shall hereafter be held on the first Mondays in March and September, in every year; any thing in any act heretofore passed, to the contrary notwithstanding.
Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted,* ThatWrits, &c. to be proceeded with as though no alteration had been made. all writs, pleas, suits, recognisances, indictments, and all other proceedings, civil and criminal, shall be heard, tried, and proceeded with, by the said court, at the times fixed in the first section of this act, in the same manner as if no alteration in the times for holding said court had taken place.
