CHAP. 789.— An Act To provide an American register for the bark Otto Gildemeister. May 14, 1902. [[Public, No. 114](/us/pl/57/114).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* “Otto Gildemeister.” American register granted and name changed to “Homeward Bound.” That the Commissioner of Navigation is hereby authorized and directed to cause the foreign-built bark Otto Gildemeister, owned by George F. Ellis, a citizen of the United States and repaired by him, to be registered as a vessel of the199 United States, and give the said bark the name of Homeward Bound: *Provided, however,* That such register shall not entitle or authorize*Proviso.*Coastwise trade, subsidy, etc. said bark to engage in the coastwise trade of the United States, nor shall said bark receive or be entitled to receive any subsidy, bounty, or aid of any kind that may hereafter be granted to American vessels.
