Mase, a musician, Fifty-sixth New York Infantry. May 4, 1898. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Sylvester H. Mase.Granted honorable discharge.States of America in Congress assembled*, That the charge of desertion now standing against Sylvester H. Mase, a musician, of the Fifty sixth New York Infantry, be, and the same is hereby, removed, and the Secretary of War is hereby authorized and directed to issue an honorable discharge as of date of December thirty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-one: *Provided*, That no pay or allowances shall become due or*Proviso*.No pay, etc. payable by reason of the passage of this Act.
