CHAP. 142.— An Act granting relief to William Turman, guardian of William W. Brewer.June 8, 1880. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,William Turman, guardian of William W .Brewer.Duplicate of lost check. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, directed to issue a duplicate of check number one hundred and forty-four thousand nine hundred and eighty-nine, drawn by D. T. Boynton, pension agent, dated October thirteenth, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, for the sum of one thousand six hundred and forty-six dollars and eighty-three cents, in favor of William Turman, guardian of William W.
Brewer; said check having been *Proviso.*lost in the mails: *Provided,* That said William Turman shall first execute a bond with good and sufficient security, to be approved by the Secretary of the Treasury, to hold the United States harmless against the double payment of said check Approved, June 8, 1880.
