46A-4-67. Hearing on petition to exclude land--Assent of interested persons.

The board of directors, at the time and place mentioned in the notice or at the time to which the hearing of the petition may be adjourned, shall hear the petition and all objections to the petition, presented in writing by any person, showing cause why the petition should not be granted. The failure of any person interested in the district to show cause, in writing, why the tract or tracts of land mentioned in the petition should not be excluded from the district is deemed an assent by the person to the exclusion of the tract of land, or any part of the tract.
The filing of the petition with the board is deemed an assent by each petitioner to the exclusion of the lands mentioned in the petition, or any part of the lands.
