41-6-35. Resident fishing license--Privileges--Exemption from fee.

Any resident fishing license or any resident senior fishing license permits the licensee to take fish, frogs, and turtles in the manner and to the extent provided in chapters 41-12 and 41-13 . Any resident who has served in the armed forces of the United States and is a patient in any war veterans hospital in this state or a member of any war veterans domiciliary unit in this state for the care of war veterans, groups with over ten participants conducting a fishing event exclusively for persons with disabilities and their attendants; any school, governmental entity, charitable or nonprofit organization conducting an event, class, or program for the purpose of teaching basic fishing skills; and any person residing as a patient in a developmental disability facility may, upon application to the secretary of game, fish and parks, receive a resident fishing license without payment of any fee therefor.
Any resident who is sixty-five years of age or older, may receive a resident senior fishing license upon payment of a reduced fee established by rules promulgated by the Game, Fish and Parks Commission pursuant to chapter 1-26 .
