Any bonded employee of the Department of Revenue shall have the power to administer oaths for the purpose of the administration of the motor vehicle laws of this state and for other purposes of departmental administration of motor vehicle functions, and shall have the general powers of a notary public in the administration of oaths, the attestation of documents and all other forms of notarial acts to be executed by persons in the administration of the motor vehicle laws of this state. No fee of any character shall be paid to any such employee for the performance of any notarial act herein authorized.
