The Governor's Office of Economic Development may accept private contributions to supplement other money received by it. Contributions received shall be deposited with the state treasurer and in a fund known as the Governor's Office of Economic Development special revenue fund, which fund shall accumulate and shall not revert to the general fund at the close of the fiscal year. The fund shall be used for legitimate purposes of soliciting industry and carrying into effect the objectives of the Governor's Office of Economic Development. Disbursements from the fund shall be made by warrants drawn by the state auditor on itemized vouchers approved by the commissioner.
