Memorandum on Delegation of Certain Authority Under the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 April 27, 2009 Memorandum for the Secretary of Defense Subject: Delegation of Certain Authority Under the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 301 of title 3, United States Code, I hereby delegate to you the functions and authority conferred upon the President by section 722 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, Public Law 110-181, to establish and maintain a Joint Pathology Center in the Department of Defense.
You are authorized and directed to notify the appropriate congressional committees and publish this memorandum in the Federal Register . Barack Obama Note: This memorandum was not received for publication in the Federal Register .
