Palisades Interstate Park Commission is authorized to accept by grant from the owners thereof, so far as at the time of the creation of the commission the board of commissioners of Palisades interstate park, a body politic created pursuant to an act entitled "An act to provide for the selection, location, appropriation and management of certain lands along the Palisades of the Hudson river for an interstate park, and thereby to preserve the scenery of the Palisades," approved March twenty-second, one thousand nine hundred, had not already accepted, lands necessary for highway purposes over and upon all that certain tract of land situate, lying and being in the county of Bergen and State of New Jersey, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west bank of the Hudson river in the county of Bergen, State of New Jersey, where the same is intersected by the boundary line of the property formerly of said board and the property of John M. Goetchius and Henry K. Goetchius; thence running in a southerly direction eighteen hundred and fifty feet more or less to the intersection of the southerly line of the old Fort Lee dock or landing with the highwater line of the Hudson river; and running thence in a westerly direction to the east side of the river road running from Edgewater to Fort Lee in Bergen county; and running along the said road and the high cliffs in a northerly direction to the southerly boundary of property formerly owned by said board; thence along the said southerly boundary of the lands formerly owned by said board to the point or place of beginning.
