18A:4-37. Payment of salaries and expenses

The salary of each helping teacher shall be paid as other state salaries are paid. The director of the division of budget and accounting shall, on order of the commissioner, draw his warrant for such salary on the state treasurer and all claims for the expenses of helping teachers shall be paid, in 10 equal monthly installments, after being audited by the county superintendent, on orders issued by the county superintendent and drawn on the county treasurer from moneys apportioned for that purpose.
No such payment shall be made for expenses until a duly certified monthly expense account, with vouchers whenever possible, shall be submitted to the county superintendent, which shall be kept on file in his office.
