Section 2. The state fire marshal shall be the executive and administrative head of the department. There shall be within the department, a division of training, including the Massachusetts fire training council, established by section one hundred and sixty-four of chapter six, the Massachusetts firefighting academy, established by section one hundred and sixty-five A of said chapter six; a division of fire safety under the charge of a director to be known as the director of fire safety; and a division of hazardous materials under the charge of a director to be known as the director of hazardous materials, the director of hazardous materials shall administer the regional hazardous material response teams.
