Sec. 15-25. Regulatory review responsibilities of the Business Regulatory Review Committee. At the direction and request of the Board, the Committee shall review and analyze regulations and make specific recommendations, from the perspective of cost and benefit, reasonableness and common sense, and permissiveness of community economic growth and development, on the following:
(1)Selected regulatory topics to provide guidance to State agencies regarding the
formulation of and revision to specific rules and regulations.
(2)Existing and proposed rules and regulations for the purpose of determining whether
the rule is excessively burdensome or imposes undue hardship on those subject to the regulation.
(3)Whether the public benefit derived from a rule or a proposed rule exceeds the
increased public and private cost of complying with the rule being imposed.
(4)Less restrictive, less costly, or less burdensome means to achieve the same result.
