Sec. 2310-65. Hospital construction and health service programs. To conduct State-wide inventories of existing hospitals, health service facilities, and personnel for hospital and medical care and a survey of need of hospitals, health service facilities, and personnel; to adopt State plans, based upon those inventories and surveys, embracing a hospital construction program and a health service program for hospital and medical care; to make reports in the form and containing the information that the Surgeon General of the United States Public Health Service may from time to time reasonably require; and to do all other things on behalf of the State that may be necessary in order for the State to participate in the benefits of the Hospital Survey and Construction Act, enacted by the 79th Congress, and any other Act enacted by Congress pertaining to hospital and medical care and health services.
The Department is designated as the sole State agency for the administration of those State plans and as the agency for receiving payments to the State from the United States of America in accordance with the provisions of those Acts of Congress.
