Sec. 13-44.5. In all cases where an inmate or ward is to leave the institution or facility where he or she is confined for educational furloughs, vocational training, for field trips or for any other reason herein stated, authority must first be granted by the Department of Juvenile Justice and the said authority shall be discretionary with the Department of Juvenile Justice. The question of whether or not the said inmate or ward or group of inmates or wards shall be accompanied or not accompanied by security personnel, custodial agent or agents or only educational personnel shall be in the discretion of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
All transfers must be approved by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
