(a)No individual may engage in the practice of providing elevator services or hold oneself out to the public in this State as being qualified to act as a licensed elevator mechanic, or otherwise assume or use any title or description conveying or tending to convey the impression that the individual is qualified to act as a licensed elevator mechanic, unless such individual has been duly licensed under this chapter.
(b)Whenever a state license to practice as an elevator mechanic has expired or been suspended or revoked, it shall be unlawful for the individual to act as an elevator mechanic in this State.
