In this title: The terms congressional intelligence committees , intelligence , intelligence community , and foreign intelligence have the meanings given such terms in section 3 of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3003 ). The terms electronic surveillance , person , State , United States , and United States person have the meanings given such terms in section 101 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 ( 50 U.S.C. 1801 ).
