(2)of section 706(a) of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 ( 50 U.S.C. 1881e(a) ) is amended— in the paragraph heading, by striking and inserting United states persons ; and Covered persons in subparagraph (A)— by striking United States person both places it appears and inserting covered person ; in the matter before clause (i), by striking in any criminal proceeding and inserting in any criminal, civil, or administrative proceeding ; and in clause (ii), by striking the criminal proceeding both places it appears and inserting the proceeding .
