Section 641(e)(4)(A) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 ( 8 U.S.C. 1372(e)(4)(A) ) is amended— in the first sentence, by striking Attorney General and inserting Secretary of Homeland Security ; in the third sentence, by striking Attorney General’s and inserting Secretary of Homeland Security’s ; and by striking the second sentence.
