Section 641 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 ( 8 U.S.C. 1372 ) is amended— in subsection (c)— in paragraph (1)— in subparagraph (G), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (H), by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: any other information the Secretary of Homeland Security considers necessary. ; and in paragraph (2), by adding at the end the following: Approved institutions of higher education or other approved educational institutions shall release information about students covered by such Act to the Department of Homeland Security as part of such program or upon request. ; and in subsection (d)(2), by inserting automatically before revoked or denied. .
