Sec. 877. Evaluation of TP-Link telecommunications equipment for designation as covered telecommunications equipment or services

The Secretary of Defense shall evaluate telecommunications equipment and services manufactured or provided by TP-Link Technologies Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries to determine whether such equipment and services should be designated as covered telecommunications equipment or services under section 889 of the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 ( Public Law 115–232 ; 41 U.S.C. 3901 note prec.). Not later than December 1, 2026, the Secretary of Defense shall brief the congressional defense committees on the determination made under subsection (a).
