Section 345 of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 ( Public Law 117–263 ; 10 U.S.C. 3201 note prec.) is amended— in subsection (a), by striking if such equipment contains an intentionally added perfluoroalkyl substance or polyfluoroalkyl substance and inserting unless such equipment meets the specifications set forth in Standard 1970 of the National Fire Protection Association ; and in subsection (d)— in paragraph (1), by striking does not contain intentionally added perfluoroalkyl substances or polyfluoroalkyl substances and inserting meets the specifications set forth in Standard 1970 of the National Fire Protection Association ; and in paragraph (2), by striking does not contain intentionally added perfluoroalkyl substances or polyfluoroalkyl substances and inserting meets the specifications set forth in Standard 1970 of the National Fire Protection Association .
