Section 304(a) of the Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 ( 16 U.S.C. 6543(a) ) is amended— in paragraph (3)(A), by inserting protection and before restoration ; in paragraph (5), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (6), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: to ensure that management activities and authorizations do not result in long-term degradation of watershed health or lower the classification under paragraph
(1)of any watershed in a National Forest. .
