Section 603(b) of the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 ( Public Law 117–263 ) is amended— in paragraph (2), by amending subparagraph
(A)to read as follows: the member is— assigned to a duty location in Alaska for a period of not less than one year; and unaccompanied by dependents in such duty location; and ; and by amending paragraph
(5)to read as follows: The period specified in this paragraph is the period— beginning on the date of the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026; and ending on December 31, 2027. .
