Sec. 551. Modification to maximum years of service for eligibility detail as a student at a law school

Section 2004(b)(1) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subparagraph (A)— in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking detailed pursuant to subsection (a)(1) and inserting with respect to whom the Secretary of a military department is providing funding for educational expenses in accordance with subsection (a)(2) ; and in clause (ii), by striking eight years and inserting 10 years ; and in subparagraph
(B)in the matter preceding clause (i), by striking detailed pursuant to subsection (a)(2) and inserting with respect to whom the Secretary of a military department is not providing funding for educational expenses in accordance with subsection (a)(3) . Section 2004(b)(3)(C) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in clause (i), by striking subsection (a)(1) and inserting subsection (a)(2) ; and in clause (ii), by striking subsection (a)(2) and inserting subsection (a)(3) .
