In this Act: The term alternative fuel means a fuel that results in a significant reduction in lifecycle greenhouse gas
(GHG)and criteria air pollutant emissions compared to conventional fuel options. The term extreme fast charging means recharging up to 80 percent of battery capacity in approximately 10 minutes or less. The term sustainable materials means materials used throughout the consumer and industrial economy that can be produced in required volumes without depleting nonrenewable resources and without disrupting the established steady-state equilibrium of the environment and key natural resource systems. The term Department means the Department of Energy. The term Secretary means the Secretary of Energy.
