There is established in the Department of Labor the AI Workforce Research Hub (in this section referred to as the Hub ). The Secretary of Labor, acting through the Hub and in collaboration with the Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Director of the U.S. Census Bureau, and the Director of the Bureau of Economic Analysis, shall carry out the following: Evaluate the impact of AI on the labor market and the experience of United States workers. Produce recurring evaluations of such impact.
Conduct scenario planning for a range of potential levels of such impact. Identify insights to inform workforce and education policy with respect to such impact. In this section, the term AI has the meaning given the term artificial intelligence in section 5002 of the National Artificial Intelligence Initiative Act of 2020 ( 15 U.S.C. 9401 ).
