Section 602(a) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act (sec. 1 206.02(a), D.C. Official Code) is amended— by striking or at the end of paragraph (9); by striking the period at the end of paragraph
(10)and inserting ; or and by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
(11)enact any act, resolution, rule, regulation, guidance, or other law to permit any person to carry out any activity, or to reduce the penalties imposed with respect to any activity, to which subsection
(a)of section 3 of the Assisted Suicide Funding Restriction Act of 1997 ( . 42 U.S.C. 14402 ) applies (taking into consideration subsection
(b)of such section). The Death With Dignity Act of 2016 (D.C. Law 21 182) is hereby repealed.
