Chapter X of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act ( 21 U.S.C. 391 et seq. ) is amended by adding at the end the following: Subchapter I of chapter 35 of title 44, United States Code, (commonly referred to as the Paperwork Reduction Act ) shall not apply to the voluntary collection of information during the conduct of research by the Food and Drug Administration. .
