Sec. 8. Review of locally-led development in public international organizations

Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the head of the relevant foreign assistance agency shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a review of public international organizations’ support for locally-led development, to include the following elements: An assessment of how such organizations’ approaches and financing structures support locally-led development and humanitarian response. An action plan for how the United States will use its position in such organizations to encourage greater focus on locally-led approaches.
