Section 212(a)(2) of the Cranston-Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act ( 42 U.S.C. 12742 ) is amended to read as follows: The Secretary shall not restrict a participating jurisdiction’s choice of rehabilitation, substantial rehabilitation, new construction, reconstruction, acquisition, or other eligible housing use unless such restriction is explicitly authorized under section 223(2). .
