Sec. 549. Pilot program for generative artificial intelligence and spatial computing for performance training and proficiency assessment

Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Navy shall develop and implement pilot program to optimize the use of generative artificial intelligence and spatial computing for immersive training and assessment. The pilot program required by subsection
(a)shall include— the development of content with respect to not less than 5 occupational specialties; and methods to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of the use of generative artificial intelligence and spatial computing training methods in comparison to other training methods, particularly with respect to cost and time required to achieve training goals. The pilot program required by subsection
(a)shall terminate on the date that is one year after the date of the establishment of the program. Not later than 90 days after the termination of the pilot program required by subsection (a), the Secretary of the Navy shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report describing the results of the pilot program, including an analysis of the effectiveness of the use of generative artificial intelligence and spatial computing for training and a description of any cost savings and savings in time required to achieve training goals.
