In this Act: The terms decentralized finance messaging system , decentralized finance trading protocol , digital commodity , digital commodity broker , digital commodity dealer , digital commodity exchange , and mixed digital asset transaction have the meaning given those terms, respectively, under section 1a of the Commodity Exchange Act ( 7 U.S.C. 1a ). The terms blockchain , blockchain system , blockchain protocol , decentralized governance system , digital asset , digital commodity issuer , end user distribution , mature blockchain system , permitted payment stablecoin , and securities laws have the meaning given those terms, respectively, under section 2(a) of the Securities Act of 1933 ( 15 U.S.C. 77b(a) ).
The terms Bank Secrecy Act , securities laws , and self-regulatory organization have the meaning given those terms, respectively, under section 3(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 ( 15 U.S.C. 78c(a) ).
