Chapter 81 of part F of subtitle II of title 46, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: The Secretary shall periodically, but not less than once annually, inspect each covered facility to verify that the owner or operator of the covered facility has a valid exemption under subsection
(c)of section 30 of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act ( 43 U.S.C. 1356(c) ). In this subsection, the term covered facility means a vessel, rig, platform, or other vehicle or structure that, but for an exemption under subsection
(c)of section 30 of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act ( 43 U.S.C. 1356(c) ) would otherwise be subject to the regulations under subsection (a)(3) of such section. During an inspection under this section, the Secretary shall confirm that all crew members that are required to have a transportation worker identification credential pursuant to section 70105 have such a credential. .
