Section 455(m)(1)(A) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 1087e(m)(1)(A) ) is amended— in clause (iii), by striking ; or and inserting a semicolon; in clause (iv), by striking ; and and inserting (as in effect on the day before the date of the repeal of subsection
(e)of this section); or ; and by adding at the end the following new clause: on-time payments under the Repayment Assistance Plan under section 455(q); and . Section 455(m)(3)(B) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 1087e(m)(3)(B) ) is amended— by redesignating clauses
(i)and
(ii)as subclauses
(I)and (II), respectively, and adjusting the margins accordingly; by striking The term and inserting the following: The term ; and by adding at the end the following: The term public service job does not include time served in a medical or dental internship or residency program (as such program is described in section 428(c)(3)(A)(i)(I)) by an individual who, as of June 30, 2025, has not borrowed a Federal Direct PLUS Loan or a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan for a program of study that awards a graduate credential upon completion of such program. .
