Sec. 161. Department of State Infrastructure Coordination Task Force

There is established at the Department of State a task force, to be known as the Infrastructure Coordination Task Force , which shall be led by an appropriate Senate-confirmed official at the Department of State. If the leader of the Task Force is not the Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment, then the leader of the task force shall coordinate with such Under Secretary on matters related to the task force. The Infrastructure Coordination Task Force shall— coordinate international infrastructure policies and projects supported by the United States Government, with participation by the relevant Federal departments and agencies; engage international partners such as the Group of Seven (G7), multilateral development banks, international financial institutions, the United States private sector, multinational corporations and banks, nongovernmental organizations, and other partners in industrialized countries; advance United States objectives through initiatives such as the Blue Dot Network, Infrastructure Transaction Assistance Network, the Transaction Advisory Fund, and the Strategic Ports Initiative; and produce strategic guidance that identifies international infrastructure projects.
