Sec. 557. Inclusion of Space Force professional military education programs in definitions of senior and intermediate level service schools and as covered programs for copyright purposes

Section 2151(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— by adding at the end of paragraph
(1)the following new subparagraph: the Space Force Senior Level Education Program. ; and by adding at the end of paragraph
(2)the following new subparagraph: the Space Force Intermediate Level Education Program. . Section 2162(d) of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraphs: The Space Force Senior Level Education Program. The Space Force Intermediate Level Education Program. . Section 105
(2)of title 17, United States Code, is amended— in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking institution and inserting Department of Defense institution or program ; by striking subparagraph
(L)and both subparagraphs (M); by redesignating subparagraph
(K)as subparagraph (M); and by inserting after subparagraph
(J)the following new subparagraphs: Space Force Senior Level Education program. Space Force Intermediate Level Education Program. . Subsection
(c)of such section is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking covered institution described in subparagraphs
(A)through
(L)of subsection (d)(2) and inserting covered Department of Defense institution or program ; by redesignating paragraph
(2)as paragraph (4); by inserting after paragraph
(1)the following new paragraphs: With respect to a covered author who produces a covered work in the course of employment at the United States Coast Guard Academy, the Secretary of Homeland Security may direct the covered author to provide the Federal Government with an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, nonexclusive license to reproduce, distribute, perform, or display such covered work for purposes of the United States Government. With respect to a covered author who produces a covered work in the course of employment at the United States Merchant Marine Academy, the Secretary of Transportation may direct the covered author to provide the Federal Government with an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, nonexclusive license to reproduce, distribute, perform, or display such covered work for purposes of the United States Government. ; and in paragraph (4), as redesignated by subparagraph (B), by striking the covered institution described in subsection (d)(2)(M) and inserting the National Intelligence University . Subsection
(d)of such section is further amended— by striking paragraph (3); and by redesignating paragraph
(4)as paragraph (3).
