Section 221(b)(1) of the Flood Control Act of 1970 (42 U.S.C. 1962d–5b(b)(1)) is amended by inserting and an inter-tribal consortium (as defined in section 403 of the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act ( after 25 U.S.C. 3202 ))) 5304)) . Section 203 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000 ( 33 U.S.C. 2269 ) is amended— in subsection (a)— by striking the subsection designation and heading and all that follows through the term and inserting the following:
In this section: The term ; and by adding at the end the following: The term inter-tribal consortium has the meaning given the term in section 403 of the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act ( 25 U.S.C. 3202 ). The term Tribal organization has the meaning given the term in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act ( 25 U.S.C. 5304 ). ; and in subsection (b)— in paragraph (1)— in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by inserting , inter-tribal consortiums, Tribal organizations, after Indian tribes ; and in subparagraph (A), by inserting , inter-tribal consortiums, or Tribal organizations after Indian tribes ; in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A), by striking flood hurricane and inserting flood or hurricane ; in subparagraph (C), in the matter preceding clause (i), by inserting , an inter-tribal consortium, or a Tribal organization after Indian tribe ; and in subparagraph
(E)(as redesignated by section 116(1)(B)), by inserting , inter-tribal consortiums, Tribal organizations, after Indian tribes ; and in paragraph (3)(A), by inserting , inter-tribal consortium, or Tribal organization after Indian tribe each place it appears.
