Section 302 of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 ( 42 U.S.C. 3162 ) is amended— in subsection (a)(3)(A), by inserting including to mitigate and adapt to extreme weather, after enhances and protects the environment, ; and by adding at the end the following: This section shall not apply to grants awarded under section 207 or grants awarded under section 209(c)(2) that are regional in scope. .
