Section 1112(b) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 6312(b) ) is amended— in paragraph (12)(B), by striking and at the end; by redesignating paragraph
(13)as paragraph (14); and by inserting after paragraph
(12)the following: how the local educational agency will engage teachers and school leaders, in consultation with parents, local educational agency administrators, public health officials, paraprofessionals, and specialized instructional support personnel, to address and prevent the misuse of synthetic opioids, including fentanyl or any substituted derivative of fentanyl, among students; and .
