Section 147 ( 20 U.S.C. 9547 ), as redesignated by section 102, is amended to read as follows: The Statistics Center may establish 1 or more cooperative education statistics partnerships for the purpose of producing and maintaining, with the voluntary participation and cooperation of the States, comparable, interoperable, and uniform data quality standards and systems that— are useful for policymaking at the Federal, State, and local levels; and may include voluntary guidelines to standardize information and data on early childhood education, elementary and secondary education, postsecondary education, adult education, workforce development, and labor market outcomes, including to support implementation of State longitudinal data systems.
No partnership established under this section shall establish a national student data system. .
