Section 178 (20 U.S.C. 9578), as redesignated by section 102, is amended— in the matter preceding paragraph
(1)of subsection (a), by inserting , including experts in privacy, security of personally identifiable information, and cybersecurity, before to carry out ; and by adding at the end the following: The Director may, under the authority provided by subsection (a), appoint for a limited term, or on a temporary basis, practitioners, researchers, and other technical and professional personnel on leave of absence from academic, industrial, or research institutions to work for the Institute, which may include such personnel affiliated with minority-serving institutions. .
