The Secretary of Labor may award grants to eligible entities for purposes of education, training, and development of systems to help employers recognize, avoid, and prevent violations of section 12 or 13(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 ( 29 U.S.C. 212 , 213(c)). For purposes of this section, the term eligible entity means— a nonprofit organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986; a nonprofit trade industry or employer association; a labor-management partnership; or a labor organization.
