Section 319(b)(2) of the Federal Power Act (16 U.S.C. 825q–l(b)(2)) is amended— in subparagraph (A), by striking the comma and inserting a semicolon; by redesignating subparagraphs
(A)and
(B)as clauses
(i)and (ii), respectively, and indenting the clauses appropriately; in the matter preceding clause
(i)(as so redesignated), in the second sentence, by striking Such compensation and inserting the following: Compensation under this paragraph ; and by striking the paragraph designation and all that follows through by it, in the matter preceding subparagraph
(B)(as so designated) and inserting the following: On making the determinations described in subparagraph
(B)and in accordance with rules promulgated by the Commission, the Commission shall . Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Commission shall promulgate a final rule to provide compensation under paragraph
(2)of section 319(b) of the Federal Power Act ( 16 U.S.C. 825q–1(b) ) in accordance with the amendment made by subsection (a).
