Not later than 3 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Agriculture, acting through the Administrator of the Agricultural Research Service, shall— prepare a report describing the resources needed to maintain a proportion of acreage engaged in research conducted on certified organic agricultural land that is equal to or greater than the market share of the organic agriculture industry in agricultural production, as determined by the Administrator of the National Agricultural Statistics Service; and submit the report prepared under paragraph
(1)to the Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry of the Senate.
