Section 115(a) ( 20 U.S.C. 9515(a) ) is amended— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking the Individuals and all that follows through ( and inserting 20 U.S.C. 1001 et seq. ), the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006 ( ; 20 U.S.C. 2301 et seq. ), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act ( 20 U.S.C. 1400 et seq. ), the Higher Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 1001 et seq. ), and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act ( 29 U.S.C. 3101 et seq. ), by striking paragraph
(1)and inserting the following: closing the achievement and performance gaps between high-performing and low-performing students, especially gaps in achievement or performance between minority and nonminority students and between disadvantaged students and such students' more advantaged peers; and ; and in paragraph (2)— in subparagraph (A)— by striking children and inserting students ; and by inserting and into the workforce after postsecondary education ; and by striking subparagraph
(B)and inserting the following: access to, transfer in, persistence in, and completion of high-quality and rigorous postsecondary education and training experiences, including through career and technical education; and .
