Section 703 of the Public Interest Declassification Act of 2000 ( 50 U.S.C. 3355a ) is amended— in subsection (c), by adding at the end the following: A member of the Board whose term has expired may continue to serve until a successor is appointed and sworn in. ; and in subsection (f)— by inserting
(1)before Any employee ; and by adding at the end the following: In addition to any employees detailed to the Board under paragraph (1), the Board may hire not more than 12 staff members. There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out subparagraph
(A)such sums as are necessary for fiscal year 2024 and each fiscal year thereafter. .
