Section 7 of the Belarus Democracy Act of 2004 ( Public Law 109–480 ; 22 U.S.C. 5811 note) is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: to halt the Government of Belarus, led illegally by Alyaksandr Lukashenka, from supporting and assisting the Russian Federation’s unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine including the abduction and deportation of Ukrainian children. .
